Founded in 1981 as the Youth Crisis Shelter, “The Center” has taken care of thousands of young men over the years. In addition to being a long term placement for non-violent juvenile offenders, the “Center” is also licensed through KDHE and SRS as a shelter/temporary care facility. YCC serves neglected and abused children and adolescents ages 6 and older as a temporary home to give case workers time to evaluate a child’s situation and make an appropriate long term placement decision.
